Xploreworld is an informal group of young people and joins 25 creative and energetic youth aged 13-16 years old. The members of the group mostly are Narva Paju school pupils. The group consists of boys and girls.
The group strengthens inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities- with social, economic, cultural obstacles and with disabilities (two members of the group are talanted girls with disability). The highlight of the Xploreworld mission is involving young people belonging to ethnic minorities. The youth present the cultural identity through spectacular self-image participating in events at school, local and regional level. All of the members are united with common spirit but everyone has own kea work (craft, singing, dancing, music, sport). The members create interactive activities and workshops to encourage own social inclusion and explore the similarities, differences and links between their lives and young people’s lives in other communities. The Xploreworld members want to improve themselves and make positive changes in local social environment of Narva city through promotion of healthy lifestyle. The members show good examples of how to implement own ideas into life and how to be active in Estonia.
For implementing own mission, the youngsters will organise and participate in youth exchange "Health in Action" in frame of European programme Youth in Action. Being the project coordinator, it gives a push for the youngsters to boost local environment, as the youth exchange and APV are hosted in Estonia on the island Ruhnu. The youth exchange experience increases members’ self-confidence and self- esteem.
